Lilly Bean came home that day and never left. I was supposed to be her foster. She had other plans. She became my soul dog — the one who changes you, the one you measure everything else against. When I lost her, I couldn't stop thinking about the ones who never got that call. The animals sitting in shelters right now whose story never reached the right person at the right moment. Dogs aren't dying because people don't care. They're dying because the right person never saw them in time. Lilly Bean was saved by a stranger who showed up. But rescue can't depend on a lucky moment. It needs infrastructure. It needs a network where every animal is visible to every shelter, rescue, foster, and transporter — all at once, in real time, before it's too late. So we built it. That's the Lilly Bean Collective.
